Two students were left in shock after settling down for a picnic - only to find that they had been joined by a very unwelcome guest.
Michael Tamayo, who attends the University of Florida, was enjoying lunch with his friend by the shore of Lake Alice in Gainesville.
But they were both surprised when, after setting down the picnic blanket and getting out their food, an alligator suddenly strolled up alongside them.
After eyeing up their spread, the cheeky reptile snatched up one of their sandwiches - although thankfully that was the only thing that got eaten during the bizarre incident.
