Just a few days after the news of his health condition broke out in open, popular Hollywood Star Charlie Sheen on Tuesday revealed he is HIV positive in an exclusive interview for TODAY.
The Two and a half men star said he shelled out more than $10 million to keep the illness a secret from the people who were aware of his health. Sheen also said he made the announcement to end the extortion and a smear campaign.
Sheen revealed that he was diagnosed with HIV nearly 4 years ago, but unsure about how he contracted the virus. The actor also stated that it was "impossible" that he knowingly transmitted the virus his sex partners. Charlie's doctor said "HIV is the virus that leads to AIDS, which has no cure. But "Charlie does not have AIDS."
Meanwhile, Charlie's ex-girlfriend and former porn star Bree Olson, who also his live in partner in 2011 fumed in an interview that Sheen never told her about him contracting the HIV virus. 'He never said anything to me,' Bree Olson said. 'I was his girlfriend. I lived with him. We were together. We had sex almost every day for a year.'
Olson also claimed that she has been threatened by Charlie's fans who accused her of afflicting Charlie with HIV. However, Olson revealed that she had already tested negative for HIV. If proven guilty of hiding his HIV infection from his sex partners, Charlie may face imprisonment and several law suits.
